Sex sells.. who knew? So sex sites are able to grow fast. No surprise there. But how fast can it go? That's something I dont know. Where's the limit?
I had a site once which grew from a couple thousand unique visitors a day to over 100,000 unique visitors every 24 hours. It took me only 54 hours (without any sleep) to get there. Thats a growth of about 100,000 daily unique visitors, or 5000%, in 54 hours. Without spending a penny (except for hosting, of course).
So.. back to my point. I was just jumping into it right then. I had a domain I felt good about, scripted some site on it in 20 minutes, grabbed one of my existing designs and
just started trading and convince other people they could send me their traffic without being afraid to see nothing in return for it. Easy enough. The hardest thing was to not fall asleep somewhere along the way.. and even that was unplanned, so no 12 hour 'pre-sleep'. No, just begin and dont stop until you drop asleep :-P
Which brings me to this page. I'm not going to expect 100k uniques after 54 hours from now.. neither am I going to stay awake to try beating my old 'record'. But I *am* going to invite you guys to a little experiment. Because I believe, such as many others, that the bigger you get in a short time, the bigger you can get in a short time. Who doesnt know
the milliondollarhomepage, for example? Without exponential growth, the whole concept wouldn't have worked out as it did. But where's the limit? There are a lot of ways to give boosting traffic a boost nowadays (thinking of diggit and such), so lets find out. And what could be a better site for such an experiment than a babes site? Not overdone, no hardcore. Just some nice babe galleries. But remember; you have to be old enough to check the website itself!

Unique visitors 11 and 12 May combined: 7,378
Unique visitors 13 and 14 May combined: 8,977
Unique visitors 15 and 16 May combined: 19,187 (this was expected to be 'around at least 15,000+')
Unique visitors 17 and 18 May combined: expected to be at least 20,000+ So... that expectation isnt getting us anywhere. Its YOU guys on this experiment page that should drive everything right now. So! add this page to you Digg, Del.ici.ous, Favorites, ... accounts!!!

Well, there we are! In the top 100,000 ranking. Straight up to a daily rank of 67,868, to be exact. Visitors weren't what I expected them to be over the last two days though. Only 16,057. But it is not as bad as it looks, because I made some improvements which boosted the productivity with over 100%. In other words: Each visitor is worth twice as much. Which is a good thing, obviously. And besides that, having less now means the rest of the week will be twice as strong ;-)

Here we go. Updated Alexa stats. I can tell you we're well past the 100,000 mark by now, especially on a daily basis. Only Alexa doesnt know that yet :'( Well, the more spectacular our 100,000 mark breach will be when it's there I guess..
Yesterday and today are kind of what I expected them to be so far. Today there will be some (minor) changes to the main site that could and should make is more productive as well as mark the beginning of a boost in growth. My expectations of next week are fairly high; Monday and Tuesday will show quite a substantial growth, after that I guess I'll leave for then to tell you about.
Oh and by the way: as you may have mentioned I added a site-wide counter to the site which is published on this page as well.

I wasnt planning to make this some sort of blog-like page, but as I am actually writing here without any new Alexa graphs to upload, I'm afraid it is going to be. And in fact I'm pretty sure I will keep going down that road as long as this whole 'experiment' keeps going the right way :-P
So.. what was I going to tell the few people that might come back here after visiting once? (Thank you for coming back if you did!) Well.. I'm deeply disappointed my Digg submission died a horrible and lonely death. Desperatly for SOMETHING to happen, I undug my own dig (who does that? LOL!), hoping surfers might notice the '0' and actually click to this page). And 1 (!!) Digg-er did! Woohoo!
So that was a waste of effort, thats for sure ;-) By the way.. I even posted a comment about my own undig.. can you imagine that? I feel sad even 'listening' to myself.
''Back'' to the point: the stats. My expectations have been exceeded, as I expected. I said to be careful with my expectations of 15,000 unique visitors on the main site itself. This turned out to be 19,187. Not bad I guess. The question is: where goes the next 48 hours? Well, let me tell you!
Today wont be much of a party as for the main site concerned. Looking at the hits so far, it'll turn out to be more than the last 24 hours, but I dont expect any large things to happen... yet! Tomorrow is another story; I'm having good hopes of some developments during the next 24 hours which should result in a descent growth in the 48-hour future.
As far as the 'experimental oage' (the page you are reading all this blabbering if mine on right now) though, *WILL* get quite some hits today. More than I would have expected about two hours ago at least. And that's all thanks to Total Fark! They have been kind enough to post my submission about this page at their "Geek" section. Which has resulted in an extra ~80 visitors to this page from then on. Thats like.. huge in comparison to the 30 visitors I managed to get here by screaming out of my window before then. And its has only ben an hour! What about the whole day! :)
Well.. in case Alexa updates their rankings of the main page before I hit my bed, I'll update the stats screenshot later on. Otherwise, I will tomorrow. There's a good change there wont even be an update untill tomorrow noon, so why even bother to wait for it?
